I am a professor at the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno.  I teach a variety of courses, from the introductory class in journalism to a graduate seminar in interactive publishing. Recently my focus has been on networked journalism and what it means for journalism education, for journalists and for communities.

This semester (spring 2015) I am teaching Participatory Journalism and writing about journalism education. I serve as academic chair for the school, cook a lot of pies, practice Italian and tweet about Nevada politics, our school and journalism.
